Turkish Delegation visit

A group of journalists from Turkey visited the California Rice Farming community towards the end of harvest.

Eszter Somogyi from the USA Rice Federation, Hamburg Germany, lead the group as they toured both white rice and wild rice fields.

The tour was held in the Yolo Basin Wildlife Refuge Area. California Wild Rice is an integral part of maintaining the health of migratory birds in the Pacific Flyway.

Grower Mike DeWit gave an informative and comprehensive presentation on California Wild Rice and the balance between cultivation and maintaining the integrity of the Pacific Flyway.
