California Wild Rice Featured at California State Fair

California State Fair
Wild Rice was a big hit at the California State Fair.

Wild rice took its rightful place, along with many other California products, in the “California Kitchen” exhibition of the Lifestyles Pavilion at the State Fair – August 17 through Sept. 3, 2007.

Thousands of visitors to the fair strolled through the displays on California food products, or stopped to watch the numerous cooking demonstrations and competitions presented by local chefs. The Board partnered with the California Sheep Commission in demonstrating how the flavors of wild rice and lamb can complement each other.
