The California Wild Rice Advisory Board

The California Wild Rice Advisory Board is a non-profit organization of California Wild Rice farmers formed in 1986 and operating under the authority of the Secretary of The State of California Department of Food & Agriculture Marketing Division.  To find out the latest food and farming news from CDFA, follow their Planting Seeds page.

The Board represents approximately 65 California farmers. The acreage assessments, paid by California Wild Rice Farmers, is used in activities including field research, nutritional research, as well as domestic and international promotion of Wild Rice. The board has its offices in Northern California’s fertile Sacramento Valley.

Ted deBraga is the President of The California Wild Rice Advisory Board and Fred Klose is the Manager.
